In fact, in the process of rotational molding, sometimes there will be whitening phenomenon. There are three cases of whitening on the surface of products

1. The surface color of all products is dim and covered with white mist.

2. Some of the products turned white, and the hue was significantly different.

3. There are strip or flocculent marks on the part of the product.


Generally speaking, the surface whitening of rotational molding products is caused by the following factors:

1. Too much plasticization. In the whole process of roll forming, if the heating temperature and time are not controlled effectively, the plasticization will be poor and excessive. High temperature and long time lead to excessive plasticization. Too much plasticization is commonly known as "aging", and the product turns white due to the transformation of materials.

2. Die plating. After several times out of the mold, the surface of the rotational molding mold will be residual color scale or materials. This kind of material will produce a covering layer on the mold surface, which will migrate to the product surface after out of the mold, resulting in whitening. This kind of phenomenon is arbitrary and can be solved by cleaning the mold.

3. Improper application of release agent. For example, excessive application of release agent or improper plasticization can also cause albinism.

4. Rotational plasticizer. During the whole plasticizing process, some rotational plasticizers will continuously precipitate from the solution and distribute on the surface of the mold.

5. The chemical properties of rotational molding raw materials change.

6. The adhesion of micro parts causes the material to crack. The tiny adhesion phenomenon can be checked by flame: if the albino part fades after the fire, it is caused by the adhesion phenomenon or the chemical substances change; if the albino phenomenon is still maintained, it is the residual mold release agent on the mold.
